My ENGLAON TV Unable to Power On
If your ENGLAON TV is not turning on, please follow the steps below in order.
This guide will help you identify whether the issue is most likely related to the remote control, power lead or adapter, or the TV itself.
Step 1 – Try turning the TV on using the TV side button
Please try turning the TV on using the physical side button on the TV itself.

Please continue to Step 3.
Step 2 – Check whether the remote is working properly
If the TV can be turned on using the TV side button, but not with the remote, please follow the checks below.
2.1 Replace the batteries
Please install a brand new set of batteries in the remote and try again.
2.2 Check whether the remote is sending a signal
If needed, please refer to our remote troubleshooting guide:

2.3 Is the remote sending a signal, but the TV still does not turn on?
No
The most likely cause is:
- flat or weak batteries
- the remote is not sending a signal
- the remote itself is faulty
Please check the remote troubleshooting guide first.
If required, you can also order a replacement remote from our website.
Yes
If the remote appears to be sending a signal, but the TV still does not turn on by remote, the issue may be related to:
- a faulty remote
- a remote compatibility issue
- the TV not receiving the remote signal correctly
Please record a short video and send it to ENGLAON Support with your order and contact details for further assessment.
Step 3 – Check which power source you are using
If the TV still does not turn on using the TV side button, please check which power source you are currently testing with:
- 12V car lead
- 240V AC power adapter
If possible, we recommend testing both methods.
This helps confirm whether the issue is caused by the TV or by the power accessory.
Then continue to Step 4.
Step 4 – Check the indicator light on the power lead or adapter
This step applies to both:
- the 12V car lead
- the 240V AC power adapter
Is there an indicator light on the power lead or adapter?
No, there is no indicator light
If there is no indicator light, the power accessory itself is the most likely cause.
If you are using the 12V car lead
Please order a replacement 12V car lead.
If you are using the 240V AC power adapter
Please order a replacement 240V AC power adapter.
Yes, there is an indicator light, but the TV is still not turning on
If there is an indicator light, but the TV still does not turn on, this usually means the power accessory appears to have power, but the TV is still unable to start.
The most likely causes may include:
- the power lead or adapter has power, but is not delivering output correctly to the TV
- the connection between the plug and the TV is loose or faulty
- the output becomes unstable under load
- the TV has an internal power or startup issue
Please record a short video and send it to ENGLAON Support with your order and contact details for further assessment.
Step 5 – Contact ENGLAON Support
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, please send the following to ENGLAON Support:
- your order details
- your contact details
- a short video showing the issue
- whether the TV side button works
- whether you tested with a 12V car lead or 240V AC power adapter
- whether the indicator light on the power lead or adapter is on or off
