What Does a Damaged RF Port Look Like?

Typical signs include:
• RF connector is loose
• Metal head appears detached or separated
• Port cannot securely hold the antenna cable


What Causes This Issue?

This type of damage is most commonly caused by external force applied to the antenna cable, including:

• Antenna cable left connected during transport (very common in caravans)
• Cable being pulled, twisted, or bent
• Heavy or rigid coaxial cables placing stress on the port


Assessment

All cases are assessed based on purchase date and condition of the unit.


Within Warranty

If your TV is within the warranty period, we will cover:
• Repair or replacement (at our discretion)
• Parts and labour
• Postage

This will be completed at no cost to you.


Out of Warranty

We offer the following options:


Option 1 — Repair / Replacement Service

• Flat fee: $130 AUD
• Includes postage, parts and labour
• Includes a 3-month service warranty

Please note:
In some cases, a replacement unit (refurbished or equivalent quality) may be provided instead of repair, depending on stock and service requirements.


Option 2 — Upgrade to a New TV

You may choose to upgrade to a brand new model with the latest features.

Important – How to Prevent This Issue

To avoid RF port damage in the future:

• Always disconnect the antenna cable before moving the TV
• Never leave cables connected during transport
• Avoid pulling, bending, or placing tension on the cable
• Use flexible coaxial cables where possible
