How to Use AR to find the right TV sizeUpdated 2 days ago
If you are unsure which TV size to choose, you can also place multiple TV models in AR to compare how different sizes look in your environment. This can help you make a more confident purchasing decision.
What Is AR?
AR (Augmented Reality) is a technology that overlays digital objects onto your real-world environment using your mobile phone camera.
On ENGLAON product pages, AR allows you to place a life-size 3D model of the TV directly into your room, caravan, or motorhome. This helps you visualise how the TV will look and fit in your space before purchasing.
How to Use “View in Your Space” (AR)
Most ENGLAON product pages include a “View in Your Space” Augmented Reality (AR) feature that allows you to place a life-size 3D model of the TV directly into your room or caravan using your mobile phone camera.
This helps you check Screen size ,Installation position and Overall fit within your space before purchasing. Please Click Here.
What You Need
Before using the AR feature, please ensure:
• You are using a mobile phone or tablet (AR does not work on desktop computers)
• Your device supports ARCore (Android) or ARKit (iPhone)
• Your camera permission is enabled for the browser
• The room has adequate lighting
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1 – Open the Product Page
Open the ENGLAON product page on your mobile phone.
Select the TV model you want to view.
In the product image section, swipe to the second image.
Tap the button “View in Your Space”
Step 2 – Allow Camera Access
The first time you use AR, your phone may ask for permission to access the camera.
Tap:
Allow Camera Access
This allows your phone to scan the environment and place the TV model correctly.
Step 3 – Place the TV Model
Tap the screen to place the TV model in your space.
A life-size ENGLAON TV will appear in the room using AR.
The model is displayed at true scale, allowing you to see how large the TV will actually look in your environment.
Step 4 – Adjust the TV Position
You can now move and adjust the model using simple touch gestures.
You can:
• Move the TV to a different position
• Rotate the TV to change its angle
• Walk around the model to view it from different perspectives
This allows you to visualize how the TV will look from different viewing areas.
Step 5 – Check Size and Fit
Use AR to confirm:
• The TV fits the cabinet or wall space
• The screen looks comfortable from your actual viewing position
• The TV does not feel too large or too small for the space
This is particularly useful for caravans, motorhomes, and compact rooms, where space is often limited.
