How to Test if Your ENGLAON TV Remote Is Working (IR Signal Check)
ENGLAON Important Note
The smartphone camera test applies to Infrared (IR) remotes only, such as models LED24M30 and LED24M40
If your TV runs Android TV or Google TV and is paired with the TV via Bluetooth (to activate the voice function), no flashing light will be visible during this test.
Overview
If your ENGLAON TV remote is not responding, you can quickly check whether it is sending a signal using your phone camera.
This test helps determine whether the issue is:
The remote control
The batteries
Or the TV (such as the IR sensor)
What You Need
Smartphone (iPhone or Android)
Or any digital camera
Infrared (IR) light is invisible to the human eye but can be seen through a camera.
Steps
Step 1 — Open the camera app on your phone.
Step 2 — Point Remote Aim the front of the remote (IR emitter) directly at the camera lens.
Step 3 — Press any button on the remote.
Step 4 — Check Screen
Flashing light visible → Remote is working
No light → Battery or remote issue
What to Do Next
✅ Remote Working (Light Visible)
The issue may be:
TV sensor blocked
Distance or angle issue
Strong light interference
❌ Remote Not Working (No Light)
Replace batteries
Check battery polarity (+ / -)
Test again
If still no light → remote is faulty and need to order a replacement remote
